Dixon, Frederick John: 1881-1931. Born in England; to Winnipeg, 1904; in Manitoba Legislature, 1914-1930; leading member of Direct Legislation League; political activist who supported social justice, women's suffrage, and worker's compensation; opposed First World War; during Winnipeg General Strike edited Strike Bulletin (after William Ivens and J.S.
